Thierry Pillot
An Atherton Wine Imports Direct Import

Thierry Pillot also makes the wines at the family domaine in Chassagne-Montrachet, and bottles a small range under his own name from across the Côte de Beaune.
The whites are the centre of it: Puligny-Montrachet and its Premiers Crus, Meursault Les Perrières, Les Charmes, Narvaux and Corbins, St-Aubin and Monthelie — and at the summit Bâtard-Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet and Corton-Charlemagne. Volnay Santenots and a little Bourgogne complete the picture.
The style is the one Thierry is known for: picked early enough to keep the acidity bright, handled gently in the cellar, and raised in barrel with a light hand so that the fruit and the stone of the vineyard stay in front. They are precise, mineral wines rather than flamboyant ones, and they reward a few years in bottle.
